11/12/2022 0 Comments Mgsv tpp battle gear hanger![]() ![]() Stealth is still important, since a combat alert is -5000 per. I've been doing it in various missions for a while now. It's the extra 20000 from the perfect stealth, no kills, and the 100,000 (?) from the no trace that's the really big boost, not the reflex bonus itselfĭo a mission fast enough and you can S rank it purely on time. Stealthing specifically to accomplish a target, moving as fast as possible, avoiding open combat, using reflex to run over small groups of guards like a silent oncoming train, that will get you an S rank, because time bonuses completely dwarf the puny 10000 from reflex. You just shouldn't try to combine stealthing for S ranks and extracting everybody in the mission that's all. Especially if you have reflex to fall back on. I have never turned off reflex and never needed to. You can smash straight through heavily guarded areas with reflex abuse if you are clever, cutting your time down to nothing. Not if you abuse reflex to boost your time. If you're going to try to stealth a mission for S rank you should basically turn off reflex because the point loss you get from using your reflex means that the time loss you get from stealthing makes it not worth while. So I guess tanks can wake guys up, somehow? I thought other enemies had to give them a kick or something, but apparently not. It doesn't end until the weather clears, and I can finally fulton the tank. ![]() I figure I can tranq them, then just dodge the tank until the storm clears (It's not like they're much good against you when you're up close).īut once the tank spots me, the guys I just tranqed start getting up.Ĭue a couple of minutes of me running around the tank, knocking out guys as they get up, and having them instantly start getting up again. Just as I'm about to go in, a sandstorm hits, which kind of wrecks my initial plan to knock them all out and fulton the tank before it knows what's going on. I take out the first two (a sniper and spotter pair next to a mortar, I could see that messing me up if I'd just gone after the others first), and I'm ready to creep up on the the other three guys around the tank. I had an 'eliminate the tank group' mission. S-Rank easy peasy (I jest, it took me a handful of tries, and quite some mumbling obscenities into my beard). Supply flares work too, but I find the map method quicker, and it's cheaper to boot. Ideally you have a supplydrop already preordered at any given time, so there's no unnecessary downtime. When you run out of rockets, instead of shooting a rocket when you have an opening, hit touchpad for the map, d-pad down and x for the supply drop. ![]() Then just keep running away from the big bads, and hit them with your rocketlauncher, once you got a little space. First you need to kill all the little guys, or they might accidentally stumble over who you need to guard and kill him. Just take your best lock-on rocketlauncher on the mission. There's an extreme difficulty version of this fight later, and the D-Walker doesn't cut it anymore then. I like MGS V a lot, but the skulls are the worst part thus far. What do you recommend for a hip primary? I'm using my most upgraded, and it's a pain in the dick.Īnd even if they were easy, the gameplay is still shit. They are nasty the first time you meet them, but better gear makes them a joke. Penetration will destroy their armor really quickly. You need penetrating weapons, and you don't have to worry about killing them lethally, because you can't kill them. They're not as tricky as they first appear. ![]()
